My rout on map

The trail sets off from Ööbikuorg (Nightingale Valley), passing Lake Rõuge Suurjärv, Estonia’s deepest lake (at 38m), and it arrives at Hinni canyon, an incision valley featuring sandstone outcrops which are between five to six metres high and which stretch over a span of approximately 200 metres. There is plenty to see in Rõuge, such as the monument to the Estonian Mother, the Hydro Workshop & Museum, and the organ which was made by the Kriisa brothers and which sits in the church. You can also enjoy a view of the surrounding area and lakes from the imposing and unique Nesting Tree observation platform near the Ööbikuorg Visitor Centre.
