Vastseliina Castle is a place worth discovering in South Estonia — with 14th-century castle ruins, a sacred site, interactive activities, and interesting history. Vastseliina Castle Tavern is located in the former stable room of the historic Piiri Tavern, and the castle kitchen prepares medieval dishes inspired by historical recipes and festive table customs.

The tavern is open daily during the summer months. In the autumn-winter season, guests can enjoy a rich medieval-inspired feast or more modest festive dishes by pre-order. All offered meals are prepared on-site in the castle kitchen, and the kitchen staff prefers to use as much local seasonal produce as possible. The tavern can also set up a welcome and coffee table if needed.

Feasts are welcome for groups consisting of at least 20 and no more than 60 guests. In addition to the feast, you can order a castle tour or a suitable workshop. The castle staff requests that you inform them of your intention to visit at least five working days in advance.
