Ala-Rõuge Guesthouse provides affordable accommodation in the heart of Rõuge. The former mill building of the local manor, it dates back to 1885. In the intervening years it served many purposes, but was fully restored as a guesthouse in 1998. It is spacious and the hosts are very welcoming.
Just a stone's throw from the guesthouse is Estonia's deepest lake, known as Rõuge Suurjärv, which is perfect for swimming in summer. There are also hiking trails in the surrounding forests. Winter pastimes such as skiing and skating provide fun for all the family. And when the weather is inclement, you can always stay indoors and make the most of the guesthouse's board games.
