The Metsavenna farm in Võru County, in the Vastse-Roosa village close to the Latvian border, originated in 1999 as a result of a bunker-digging contest. This evolved into annual events, such as the Metsavenna commemorative gathering, springtime manure removals, large Midsummer' Day gathering and the traditional late summer border gathering with many folk games, with participants from both Estonia and Latvia.
The main service offered by the farm - the forest brothers' hikes, the three-hour events during which various forest brother issues are graphically explained: the visitors can look for forest brothers' hiding places, spend some time in the bunker, take in the rustling sounds of the forest and sing forest brother songs along with the owner.
The Metsavenna farm has a ground for gatherings with a scene and a dance floor. The ground includes nine different swings, a football pitch, a campfire site and places for many tents. The Metsavenna farm's services and prices can be found on its website.
